Ideally, your cigar should burn evenly around and not burn down a single side. How do you know if your cigar isn’t rolled properly? A well rolled cigar will come with a little give when you press into it, springing back to shape when released. If you find the cigar isn’t budging, it has likely been rolled too tight. The good news is a draw tool can transform your smoking experience in a matter of seconds. To improve airflow, gently insert and rotate the draw tool then pull a small amount of tobacco out. To reduce tunneling, the draw tool can be used on either end of the cigar and multiple channels can be made.

Plugged Cigars

Another culprit that can dampen your smoking experience is a plug. In rare instances, a cigar may have a large piece of tobacco stem or vein lodged inside, often the result of a lack of quality control. Until you get the plug out, you aren’t going to be getting much from your cigar. Not to worry, a draw tool can solve the issue quite easily. The first step is finding the plug. When you roll your cigar between your fingers, are there any hard spots that don’t work themselves out? If yes, chances are you found your plug. Using the draw tool, place the tip at the center of the cigar head and apply firm pressure while keeping the tool straight. Once you begin to feel less resistance, you’re through.
